The Great Treasure Hunt

Matthew 6:19-21: 19"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." (KJV)

Yesterday, I felt the Lord would have me start this blog. I do not know why exactly, but when He leads, I want to follow. I feel that the chaos in the world is increasing dramatically, and it is more important than ever that we not waste precious time chasing after temporary treasures or fleeting pleasures. Therefore, I will open this blog with what Jesus Himself said about laying up treasures in heaven. There is more on my heart to share but I wish to wait on the Lord. I pray that He will give me the words He wishes me to share and that I will never speak out of turn.

Father, please place your seal of protection on this blog. I am but a woman who is earnestly trying to follow hard after you. I cannot pretend to be more than this. Please seal this blog for Your glory alone, and for the building up and edifying of others whom You have called, are calling, and will call to Yourself. Amen and amen!

Luke 15:8-10: The Parable of the Lost Coin

8 “Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” (NIV)
